Event Details

Have you ever wondered how we are able to measure distances in the Solar System, in our Galaxy, and beyond? Grab your cosmic ruler and embark on an exploration of the methods used to infer distances in the Universe — the result of centuries of innovative thinking by countless generations of astronomers. Join Dr. Gustavo Medina Toledo, a postdoctoral researcher from Dunlap Institute for Astronomy & Astrophysics at the University of Toronto, for a fascinating talk on this topic.
