Happy Spring, Yonge North York! March was filled with many exciting celebrations, and now April is here and it feels like we’ve emerged from hibernation, embracing the longer days of spring.
If you haven’t noticed by now, our neighbourhood is adorned with colourful spring lanterns, adding vibrancy to our everyday commutes and shopping trips. It’s a delightful change that brings me joy while I’m out running errands. These captivating lanterns from Szechuan, China are on a tour and they’ve made a stop here in our BIA district before continuing their journey.

You can explore the various themes and motifs adorning different locations, each offering something new to discover. Classic symbols of Chinese culture like pandas, cranes, koi fish, tigers, and cats can be found across four different spots in our area, making for a captivating experience.
