Join in for an evening of exploring Anishinabek stories of the land and how they can inspire environmental and social justice.
In this interactive presentation, Deborah McGregor, Associate Professor & Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Environmental Justice at York University’s Osgoode Hall Law School, will discuss how storywork can guide teaching and learning practices, focusing on the question, “What lessons or teachings can we derive from stories?”
Professor McGregor, who is Anishinaabe from Whitefish River First Nation, Birch Island, Ontario, will encourage knowledge sharing and generation to encourage participants to reflect on their role in the natural world and in promoting sustainability and well-being.
