Founded last year in 2023, our mission has been to bring the rich traditions of Turkic nations to the heart of Canada through this multicultural festival.

Our mission is to promote cross-cultural understanding and appreciation by providing a platform for showcasing the music, dance, and traditions of various Turkic communities. Our vision is to become a premier destination for showcasing Turkic cultures globally, building bridges between different cultures, and fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation. We aspire to create a sense of community and belonging among the Turkic diaspora and the broader society, inspiring future generations to preserve and promote our heritage.

Last Year’s Success and This Year’s Excitement
Last year’s festival was an absolute blast, filled with mesmerizing music, energetic dances, and mouth-watering cuisine that left everyone wanting more. Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve expanded our event to the fantastic Mel Lastman Square for this year’s festivities!

Prepare to be dazzled by stunning performances from Azerbaijani, Turkish, Uzbek, Kazakh, Uyghur, and other Turkic cultures. Our festival is not just about performances; it’s a full-on experience featuring 12 vendors serving the best Turkic food and showcasing exquisite crafts. The Azerbaijani House is back with its impressive display of traditional clothing, crafts, and decorations, offering a deeper glimpse into the rich cultural tapestry of the Turkic world.

The Turkuaz Music & Dance Ultrafest is organized by the Turkuaz Turkic Art and Culture Foundation, a non-profit organization with a passionate collective of individuals and volunteers dedicated to celebrating and promoting the cultural heritage of Turkic peoples. Our team includes cultural enthusiasts, artists, musicians, dancers, and community leaders, all united by the goal of sharing the beauty and diversity of Turkic cultures with the world.
