Celebrate everything you love about Canada with the City of Toronto’s annual Canada Day fireworks and events. Programming details for 2023 will be announced later in the year

Main Stage

12 p.m. – Indigenous blessing & welcome by Cat Criger

12:05 p.m. – The Haneen Women’s Choir 

1:15 p.m. – Brazillian music by JER 

2:15 p.m. – Speeches, cake cutting, and National Anthem, O Canada, performed by Mis Blandine 

2:30 p.m. – Congolese rhumba and R&B music by Mis Blandine and the Caza Jazz Orchestra

3:30 p.m. – Spoken word & hip-hop music by Beny Esguerra & New Tradition Music 

4:30 p.m. – Iranian music by the Canadian Gohla Orchestra

5:30 p.m. – Celtic music by Alana & Leigh Cline 

Around the Square

12:45 p.m. & 1:45 p.m. – Roller skate performance by The Groovin Girls 

12 p.m. to 6 p.m. – Toronto Star  Exhibition: Sounds Like Toronto, beside the pond

1 p.m. to 5 p.m. – Stilt walking basketballer Nick Nets

1 p.m., 2 p.m. & 4 p.m. – Comedy & music in the parkette by Mike Wood

2 p.m. to 6 p.m. – Whimsical roaming by Stasia Fantastia 

3 p.m. & 5 p.m. – Trash Panda Brass Band 

Fun Activities & Dance Lessons

12 p.m. to 6 p.m. – Shaker & hand-drum making with Blank Canvases  in the tents by the plaza

12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. – Airbrush tattoos by Picasso Painters  in the parkette

3 p.m. – Cuban salsa dance lesson with Dailyn Martinez  in the pond

4 p.m. – Voguing dance lesson with Danah Rosales  in the pond

5 p.m. – Popping & waving dance lesson with A.J. Harper  in the pond

Getting Here

Take public transit  or Bike Share  to and from the event or park your vehicle at a nearby Green P  parking lot.

Please note, a section of Yonge St between North York Centre and Hillcrest Ave is closed to southbound traffic on July 1.

The City of Toronto acknowledges that Canada Day can be difficult for many. Suggested Fireworks at 10 p.m.

There will not be fireworks at Mel Lastman Square.
